CHENNAI, INDIA: Chennaiyin FC have signed Spanish playmaker Alberto Noguera on a one-year contract ahead of the 2025-26 edition of the Indian Super League. Noguera has also played for FC Goa, Mumbai City FC and Bengaluru FC in India in the past.
After his tenure with Bengaluru ended in 2025, he moved back to Spain and made seven appearances for Rayo Majadahonda in the Segunda Federacion, the fourth tier of the Spanish football system.
Noguera also made an appearance in the Copa del Rey. During his time in Bengaluru, the Spaniard made 9 goal contributions in the ISL, slightly more than the 8 he made for Mumbai City in two seasons (2022-23 and 2023-24).

Before that, the 36-year-old played two seasons for Goa, notching up 11 combined goal contributions. While Noguera is known to have won the 2023-24 ISL with Mumbai City, interestingly, he was also a part of the Atletico Madrid squad during their victorious Europa League campaign in 2011-12.
“I’m really happy and excited as I look ahead to the new season after everything that has happened. I’ve already worked with the head coach and know many of the players, which gives me a lot of confidence heading into this new chapter. I’m looking forward to the challenge and hopeful for a strong season ahead,” said Noguera after signing for the Marina Machans.
Noguera becomes Chennaiyin’s second signing for the season, after proven Indian winger Imran Khan landed on their shores from Jamshedpur FC earlier this week. The ISL is slated to start on February 14, with FC Goa hosting Inter Kashi and Mohun Bagan taking on Kerala Blasters on the same day. Chennaiyin’s fixtures are yet to be released.
