Sreenidi Deccan face Rajasthan United away from home in maiden Championship Stage clash | IFL 2025-26

LUDHIANA, INDIA: Sreenidi Deccan FC will face Rajasthan United FC in their first match of the Indian Football League 2025–26 Championship Stage. The match is scheduled to commence at 6:30 PM Indian Standard Time at the Namdhari Stadium in Sri Bhaini Sahib, near Ludhiana, Punjab.

In their final game of Phase 1, the Deccan Warriors suffered a tough 2–0 defeat away to Real Kashmir FC, whereas Rajasthan United FC won 2–1 away to Dempo SC. In their previous meeting during Phase 1 of the league, the Deccan Warriors were victorious with a scoreline of 2–1.

“Rajasthan United are one of the best teams in the league; we respect them, but we believe that tomorrow we can win again. With all the teams fighting for the maximum points in this Championship Stage, I think the approach of all teams will be a little different and that’ll allow us more space and more opportunities to hurt our opponent,” head Coach Carlos Vaz Pinto said.

“In this Championship Stage, we are taking one game at a time and right now, we are fully focused on tomorrow’s game. We are going into the game with only one objective, that is to secure the three points,” experienced goalkeeper Kamaljit Singh, who has been crucial between the sticks for the Deccan Warriors, added.
